I have found my mojo again.

Updated: May 9, 2019

I remember those early days where I just loved getting out on my bike and riding. I just rode and rode. I listened to the experienced riders at the club. I took mental notes of the amount they were riding and as most of our races were in the region of 10 miles I set myself a goal of 10 miles a day during the week and then a club run on the Saturday.

I used to seek out different routes which grabbed challenges from some of the club rides but also allowed me to stay a sensible distance form home. I suppose I was very luck back then with so many great roads to chose from and the distinct lack of cars and those that were there gave you the respect that you deserved as another human being.

It has been during one of those inspirational moments that I stumbled across an event which starts in July this year. The Pan Celtic race. I have looked at it and I believe I mentioned it in an earlier post but I have sat down and looked at the route and broken it down in to 12 bite size chunks. As with anything I do those chunks are not small bites but big massive mouth bursting gob-fulls. The sort that when you close your mouth you wish you had not bitten off so much but being a tiny bit stubborn you decide you have to complete the small challenge and not spit out good food.

So the next few images will hopefully explain the future and how I am going to mark my next significant birthday year.

So yes it is probably time to declare I am officially bonkers.

So please have a read and if the things to date have not got you curious then please follow the exploits for the next few years up to and including the main event.

I might actually then decide after that to slow things down a little.

Oh and if you fancy taking part it is possible to register as a pair and they are allowed to work together and draft. I as a solo rider would not be allowed to gain any such advantage.
